Hi! We’re Shay and Doug, a fun, loving couple born and raised right here in Metro Detroit. We love this area for its history, grit, and creative energy, and our goal is for guests to feel that same Detroit spirit woven into every space we create.
Shay works in the service industry and Doug in automotive, so thoughtful hospitality and attention to detail come naturally to us. When we’re not hosting, you’ll likely find us curled up on the couch watching a game, traveling for one of Doug’s vintage base ball matches, tossing bags at cornhole league, or dreaming up our next home project.

Yes! We offer discounted weekly and monthly rates for longer stays. Reservations of 30 days or more require a lease agreement, background check, and a $500 security deposit. Please inquire directly for additional details and availability, we are happy to help.
At this time, we do not allow pets. Keeping the home pet-free helps us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and provides a more comfortable, allergen-aware environment for all guests. This allows us to ensure the space feels fresh, well cared for, and welcoming for every stay.
All stays include easy self check-in with detailed instructions sent a few days before your trip. The home features keyless entry and a well-lit entrance, making arrivals and departures simple and secure any time of day or night.
Yes! Free parking is available in the driveway and on the street in front of the house. Up to 2 cars will fit in the driveway. Parking beyond the gate is not permitted. (Please note that due to city ordinances, street parking is prohibited on Fridays from 7am-3pm during street sweeping. Cars parked on the street during these hours may be ticketed at guest’s expense.)
This house was built in 1950, so it’s got plenty of old-school charm (and a few quirks to match). You can expect a few creaky stairs, pipes with a little personality, and the occasional draft—it all comes with the vintage territory! If that sounds cozy and character-filled to you, you’ll fit right in. But if you’re looking for something ultra-modern and pristine, this might not be a good fit for you.
